We are Troop 61, a scout-led troop from Sudbury, Massachusetts. As far back as 1927, the Scouts that would become Troop 61 gathered at “The Central Congregational Church,” where Deacon John C. Hall, a local schoolteacher, chaired the Troop Committee. Records show that for a time, the Troop was chartered by the “Sudbury Men’s Club,” and then by 1934, Troop 61 was meeting regularly at Memorial Congregational Church (MCC). From those early years, our troop has grown to around 30 Scouts. We are grateful for our home at MCC, and these days you can find us there every Wednesday night.
Our troop is active year-round. We hike, camp, bike, ski, sail, and more. We also created our very own Scouting-skills competition called "Zombie Apocalypse," which was featured in Scout Life magazine!
Troop 61 – continuing a proud Scouting tradition in Sudbury since the 1920s … except now with more Zombies.
